general reference sheet featuring body type, skin tone, hair tone, and scars as well as basic simplified features

just a casual outfit image, but i like her face a lot here

i’ve used IU (Lee Ji-eun) as a reference a lot while drawing her expressions after i saw Hotel del Luna (2019), the character jang man-wol has big verryn energy

this facial feature reference consists of some older arts, but it’s still accurate!
her (nearly) complete art gallery of my own art and commissioned art is here, and the character profile here, if you want to see more examples and some design philosophy
here’s a link to the vgen also: x
the outfit!
i have a whole pinterest board devoted to verryn style inspiration. i do my best to weed out any AI
colour in your style is absolutely beautiful, so i was thinking we might venture a little outside the usual purple-only palette.
idea 1: an outfit consisting of a long (pleated?) skirt and a colourful, patterned hanten, very cozy and casual. just a cute everyday outfit that’s still super in line with her aesthetic
(and frankly idk if the examples below would be considered hanten outfits or variations of aoqun hanfu)

idea 2: a more elevated, lighter version of her regular design, where the tunic underneath is meant to be slightly evocative of a cheongsam dress, and the layering call to mind a very simple hanfu.
in this version i would like to abandon practicality and go full hanfu, but which layers to include and what colours to combine is the part where i would defer to your outfit design expertise.
the character is from a fantasy universe where Chinese culture doesn’t exist, nor do specific hanfu styles to reference. i’m aesthetically thinking about a flowy, impractical, exaggerated beautiful qiyao ruqun-style hanfu that you see in chinese MMOs… i will put some inspirational examples below, but i would really like to maybe have something designed by you?

and i have an actual chinese MMO hanfu, i guess…
