ionessa character references

ionessa dawnwither is a blood elf mage. she’s the only daughter of a dearly missed, hardworking mother and a nameless, awful magister. she is also the hardest worker you know, proud in every sense of the word, and confident in herself.

she spent decades at Dalaran studying complex theoretical magic in order to apply it to everyday things. her specialisation is domestic magics: cleaning, cooking, mending, fixing. It looks effortless, but it isn’t. her crowning achievement is the soap elemental. she keeps one as her permanent companion – her very first one – and she calls it Aporia

she is full of love and life and mischief and she will put you in your place… she’s brave, practical, clever, and a little bit Elizabeth Bennett -coded

chronomancy is her least favourite kind of magic, so of course she has a crush on a Bronze Dragon now…

the key notes:
– super fluffy curly hair. it should be worn up in a messy bun. it’s a sort of dusty, ashy blonde, not platinum or gold – a bit unremarkable
– she has slightly furry/fuzzy ears that are quite upright… bunny-esque..
– she is plus-sized! her body shape is very regular. she is probably a little bit on the shorter side. she definitely doesn’t have a perfect hourglass body or anything

i commissioned wiwie for a redesign of ionessa a while ago. i wanted to emphasize bunny-like features, like the peach fuzz on the ears and arms, and body shape. she’s still fully a blood elf though!!! she hasn’t got a tail. the art is also very reflective of her favourite colours and personality 🙂
